Jammu Municipal Corporation organised a massive sanitisation drive in the union territory. Due to rising COVID-19 cases, Jammu was under lockdown for nearly a month. Under this special drive, JMC has planned to sanitise all the micro containment zones of the UT. 'Masks and social distancing are an important factor to fight COVID-19 but people should take care of environmental hygiene, JMC urge people to abandon waste only through garbage trucks and do not litter in the public places' Avny Lavasa, Commissioner of JMC told to ANI. 'People need to understand the importance of clean environment, apart from regular sanitization JMC is conducting this special sanitization drive to provide a safer environment to the people of Jammu. We are providing all the necessary equipments to the sanitization workers, we have the most advance machinery to do the work' Dr Sanjogita Soodan, health officer, JMC added.
