Swarms of locusts continue to create disturbance in several districts of Rajasthan. Farmers of cotton and sugarcane are suffering the most, as locusts have damaged their crops to a large extent. Multiple ways of creating noise are being adopted by the farmers to scare away the locusts. Kisan Samiti President, Ranjeet Singh Raju said, “Due to coronavirus the country’s economy is already suffering but if the farmers suffer losses then the economy will collapse completely.” He further requested the government to control the locust swarms as soon as they enter the country through India-Pakistan border.
