Locals risk their lives to cross river on makeshift boat in MP’s Mandsaur

Residents of Damdam village in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district have to cross river, to go to their agriculture land, on a makeshift boat made of plastic barrels. Residents alleged, “Politicians ask for our votes, promise us a bridge but no one has done anything yet. It is dangerous during monsoon.” While speaking to ANI, Manoj Pushp, Mandsaur District Collector said, “It has come to my notice. There's a road but that is a longer route. I've told the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zilla Panchayat to get the project completed if it has been sanctioned or get it sanctioned if it has not been done.”
