BJP slammed Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government for denying permission to hold Amith Shah’s rally in Jadavpur. Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar said, “Today our party’s president Amit Shah had a rally in West Bengal’s Jadavpur. We gave the application about four days back. Last night we were informed that we will not get the permission, without stating any reason. Yesterday, permission of landing helicopter was also denied. It is the murder of democracy.”
