Special Cell of Delhi Police has busted an interstate gang involved in illicit arms trafficking and arrested two accused Jitendra and Raj Bahadur. During the investigation of various heinous cases, police has noted that criminals of Delhi-NCR are using illegal firearms that are frequently being supplied to them by the illegal arms traffickers. In order to check the supply of illegal fire arms in NCR, a special drive is being carried out by the Special Cell against illegal firearms traffickers. Specific information was received by Special Cell that both the accused will be coming in the evening near crematorium, Ghazipur Road, in a car for delivering the illicit weapons. In the evening, team of Special Cell spotted the alleged car and signaled it to stop but it fled away. The other team deployed at a distance swiftly used barricades and forced it to stop and overpowered the occupants of the car. During the search of their vehicle, two plastic cans of Vanaspati Ghee were recovered. On opening the cans, 26 pistols with extra magazines were found concealed underneath a thick layer of Vanaspati Ghee.
