Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh along with Army Chief General Bipin Rawat attended the launch of ‘Indigenous Defence Equipment Exporters Association’ at Constitution Club of India in Delhi on October 18. While addressing the event, Admiral Karambir Singh focused on ‘collective military competency’ and said, “We want to learn from others. There is something called ‘collective military competency’ and this is what the Indian Navy and India believe in. It is not necessary that one nation has all the capacity or competency. We've to learn from each other. We need to learn to work together. We have got Bangladesh and Indonesia who know a lot about ‘HADR’, for instance. Seychelles and Mauritius are making efforts towards marine ecology and conversation. Myanmar is a good example of indigenous shipbuilding. So, we look at collective military competency. ”
