As per the data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), India on January 14 reported single-day spike of 16,946 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. 198 deaths in the same period pushed the COVID-19 toll in the country to 1,51,727. India’s confirmed cases of coronavirus stand at 1,05,12,093 which include 2,13,603 active infections. More than 1,01,46,763 people have recovered from the virus with 17,652 new discharges in last 24 hours. According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 7,43,191 samples were tested on January 13. Cumulative samples tested for COVID-19 till January 13 are 18,42,32,305.
