If Pt Nehru had allowed Sardar Patel to handle JK history would’ve been different says Jitendra Singh

While speaking to ANI on Article 370 or 35A, Minister of State (MoS) for the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Jitendra Singh said, “In order to pacify the reservations of other members including Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had said, ‘ye ghiste ghiste ghis jaayegi’.” “I made a plea on the floor of the house also, I wish a day comes when we decide minimum voter turnout to accept the membership of a candidate for Lok Sabha, so that we don't have to deal with such MPs who come with 8% (voter turnout)”, he added. “If only Pt. Nehru had allowed his number two in the cabinet and then Home Minister Sardar Patel to handle J&K in the same manner he handled other princely states including Hyderabad, the history of not only J&K but of entire Indian sub-continent would have been different,” he further stated.
