Heat wave tightens its grip across country

Parts of India are facing soaring temperatures with mercury constantly breaching the 45-degree mark. According to the India Meteorological Department, Central India is facing a very severe heat wave condition with several places recording a maximum temperature of 45 degree Celsius and above. Amritsar will record maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius on May 26. Heat conditions remain same in Bhopal. IMD further predicted the temperature will hover between 43 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius this week. Commuters were seen covering themselves to minimize sun’s wrath.
