Harsh Vardhan asks state health ministers to facilitate blood donation from home

The pandemic COVID-19 has led to decrease in blood donation; the Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, while addressing a review meeting with state ministers of health on COVID-19 via video conferencing, urged people to donate blood. He said, ‘COVID-19 has led to decrease in blood donations, we have decided that to promote blood donation, wherever possible, we take blood from the donors at their home or by facilitating them from home and invite them to donate blood.’ Harsh Vardhan also requested health ministers of all states to ensure that lockdown is followed 100% in their respective states.
