DNA Son-daughter to have equal rights in the ancestral property

Saying that daughters cannot be deprived of the right to equality, the Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that daughters will have equal rights in the property of the joint Hindu family, even if the father died before Hindu succession (Amendment ) Act 2005.
