Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) under the CSR initiative has set up an oxygen generation plant with a capacity of 500 liters per minute (LPM) at Northern Railway Central Hospital in New Delhi. The Plant was commissioned in the presence of Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway, and Ravindra Kumar Jain, MD, DFCCIL. The total requirement of oxygen of the hospital in normal times is about 1500 LPM and this plant will help fulfill 30 percent of the base load and about 10 per cent in the peak COVID times. On this occasion, General Manager, Northern Railway appreciated the gesture of DFCCIL. He said that this is a big leap toward self-reliance in oxygen availability for Northern Railway Hospital and now better equipped to serve the patients and save precious lives. Ravindra Kumar Jain, MD, DFCCIL mentioned that the plant was provided in a record time of less than a month for the time DFC committed and to the actual installation.
