Devotees take holy dip in river Ganga on Nirjala Ekadashi

On June 21, devotees in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi took holy dip in river Ganga on the occasion of 'Nirjala Ekadashi'. People were violating the COVID-19 protocols and social distancing. As per beliefs, it is considered to be the most austere and the most sacred of all 24 'Ekadashis'. It derived its name from the 'water-less' (Nir-jala) fast observed on this day.
