The intermittent rains in Ahmedabad have led to a sudden spurt in vector-borne diseases. Dengue and Chikungunya have started raising its head in the city. According to Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital, Dr JV Modi in the month of August 106 cases of Dengue, 36 cases of Chikungunya and 19 cases of Malaria have been reported in the hospital.
