Dwarka district of Delhi Police arrested four extortionists after a complaint was received at Bindapur Police Station regarding threatening and extortion messages on Facebook and phone calls. On the basis of technical investigation, the police team raided various places of Haryana and Delhi and arrested the accused persons who were involved in demanding extortion money from the complainant. During the course of interrogation, accused Rinku, the mastermind of the whole incident, disclosed that he thought that it's a short cut to become rich in a very short time span. So he discussed this plan with his associates, and after that they identified the soft target and then sent threatening messages through a fake Facebook profile, police said. But when the complainant didn't respond, all four accused went to the complainant's office and threatened him of dire consequences if he does not give the amount of Rs 12 lakh.
