Air quality is continuously deteriorating in the national capital with rise of pollutants. Stubble burning in neighbouring states is said to be among major reasons for pollution. Speaking to media, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said, "Thermal power stations were a major cause of pollution here. Therefore, Delhi government's power stations were closed down in the past few years." "Delhi is the only state where there is no thermal power station," he added.
