‘Delhi Chalo’ protest Farmers try to remove barricades at Delhi-UP border

Protesting farmers at Ghazipur-Ghaziabad (Delhi-UP) border tried to remove barricading in the morning of December 02. “If you made a law, you’re making it for farmers, but if farmers are upset with it, what is your benefit with it,” questioned a farmer. Another furious farmer said, “We have bought enough ration, we will go only after our demands are fulfilled.” Thousands of farmers from neighbouring states, mainly Punjab, have camped in and around the national capital to intensify their protest against three new farm laws, which the government said will help them in getting more buyers for their produce. The protesting farmers, on the other hand, fear that the new reforms will actually leave them at the mercy of big corporates.
