As many as 69 people have died due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome in Muzaffarpur district. Encephalitis is a viral disease, which causes mild flu like symptoms such as high fever and headache. The deadly disease has been claiming lives in the district for the past few weeks. While speaking to ANI, Dr. Shailesh Prasad Singh, Civil Surgeon from Muzaffarpur, Bihar said, “Death toll rose to 69 due Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES). 58 died at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital and 11 at Kejriwal Hospital.”
