The first consignment of Serum Institute of India's COVID19 vaccine 'Covishield' dispatched from Pune airport on Jan 12. The Air India, SpiceJet and IndiGo Airlines operated nine flights from Pune with 56.5 lakh doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Union Civil Aviation Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri said, “Today, Air India, SpiceJet and IndiGo Airlines will operate 9 flights from Pune with 56.5 lakh doses to Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Shillong, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Chandigarh.”
