After Centre’s decision to permitted shops selling non-essential goods and services to reopen from April 25, some shops in Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar and Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi were seen open after a month. All shops registered under Shops and Establishment Act of respective States/Union Territories, including shops in residential complexes, neighborhood and standalone shops have now been exempted from lockdown restrictions. This decision by the Centre will give relief to people as well as shop owners, who are bearing loses since the first lockdown.
