Sheroes Hangout cafe in Agra, which is run entirely by acid attack survivors, is proving food to needy people amid COVID crisis. An acid attack worker says that they are distributing the food since 12 to 13 days. Marginalized section of the society has been worst hit by the pandemic. “Due to COVID most of the poor people were not having food properly, so for them we are distributing food. It has been 12 to 13 days since we are distributing the food to needy people. We want people to support us so that we can provide food to poor who are in need. We supply food to COVID patients too,” said Sheroes Hangout Café worker Madhu. Uttar Pradesh reported 37,044 active COVID cases till 2 June (08:00 IST).
