Congress district president Neelam Mishra resigned from the party over differences with Bhadohi Lok Sabha candidate Ramakant Yadav, who had jumped the BJP ship just before elections. Mishra expressed her disappointment over Congress giving the Bhadohi Lok Sabha ticket to an outsider, and said when she tried to talk to party’s general secretary for Uttar Pradesh East Priyanka Gandhi about it, she only received “insults” in return.
