The grand weddings of the two sons of Gupta family had left a mountain of garbage in Uttarakhand’s Auli, where the civic body is now struggling to clean all the waste that was left after the weddings which saw spending of Rs 200 crore between June 18 and 22. However, Joshimath Municipality Chairman Shailendra Pawar told ANI that the Gupta family has agreed to pay the user charge fee of Rs 54,000 to the civic body, and has also agreed to bear the rest of the cost.
