Security has been beefed up across Karnataka, as some organisations (Left parties and Muslim organizations) called for a ‘bandh’ in the state to protest against Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 and National Register of Citizens (NRC). Section 144 has been imposed throughout Bengaluru including rural Districts. Police has been deployed at Bengaluru’s Town Hall area also.
