Narendra Modi government presented the Union Budget on July 05. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman hiked tax on petrol and diesel, raised import duty on gold, and levied additional surcharge on super rich. While speaking to ANI, a local from Ludhiana said, “The rate of petrol is already expensive; the government should have reduced the rate instead of increasing it.” “The price shouldn’t have been increased, every day the price increases. The government should look into the matter. It is a problem”, said a local from Delhi.
