With outbreak of bird flu in several states of India, J&K government is taking necessary precautions. The administration is doing sampling and testing of ducks and migratory birds. They carried out testing at Manda Deer Park in Jammu on January 07. They are also sending the samples of birds to Jalandhar lab for testing. Speaking to ANI, the veterinary officer at Manda Deer Park, Dr Ranjeet Katoch said, 'We are taking random samples from our water bodies and places where migratory birds are staying.' 'As per the guidelines, orders and advisory of government, we are doing sampling of birds and ducks. We are sending the samples to Jalandhar lab for testing,' he added.
