To ensure the smooth passage of the Amarnath yatra, Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel are deployed at highway in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. Extra security measures have been put in place by J&K police, Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and the Indian Army. Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) tags have also been affixed in all the vehicles. The annual Amarnath Yatra was flagged off from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes of Jammu & Kashmir since morning. The 46-day yatra will conclude on August 15.
