Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis called a meeting for the farmers, who suffered from untimely rains in Maharashtra. While speaking to ANI on this regard, Fadnavis said, "The untimely rainy season has been widespread in Maharashtra and farmers have suffered extensively due to this. Today, I also called a meeting in this regard. All officials were present in the meeting along with the IMD officials. In the last four months, four big cyclones came here. Due to heavy rains, harvesting crops have been damaged on the large scale. The damage has been done in almost 325 tehsils. Horticulture crops have also been destroyed on a large scale. All records are being made so that farmers can be financially compensated. We have also sensitized the insurance companies. A cabinet sub-committee's meeting would be called tomorrow."
