In a joint operation, Police and Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted a truck and seized 'ganja' (cannabis) worth around Rs 70 lakh in Tripura’s Churaibari on November 24. They have seized 88 packets of dry cannabis weighing 818 kg. While speaking to ANI, the police official said, “The driver of the truck has been detained. The ‘ganja’ consignment was seized from a truck with a Haryana registration number from the Churaibari check post at the Tripura-Assam border.” Further investigation is underway in this regard.
