60 people admitted to hospital after consuming food at marriage ceremony in Jharkhand’s Dumka

At least 60 people were admitted to a hospital after they consumed food at a marriage ceremony in Jharkhand’s Dumka. The incident took place in Chandan Pahari village of Dumka. While speaking to ANI, Dumka Superintendent of Police (SP) YS Ramesh said, “During bhoj at a ceremony, they found out that a lizard fell into their food. All of them have received first aid and are stable.” On the same matter, while speaking to ANI, Deputy Superintendent of Dumka Sadar Hospital Binod Kumar Sinha said, “Lizard doesn't contain that much poison in it. It's kind of a psychological problem as they panicked that they're affected. That's why they started vomiting. So, I checked them for their satisfaction, gave them ORS.”
