45 years of ‘Emergency’ Indira Gandhi imposed emergency to save her PM chair says RS Prasad

Union Minister of Law & Justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad, on June 25 said Congress led by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed emergency to save her PM chair. He said, “Today we recall the day of 25 June 1975, when the then Congress Govt led by PM Indira Gandhi imposed emergency to save her PM chair as her election to Lok Sabha from Raebareli was set aside by Allahabad HC on ground of malpractices.” On June 25, 1975 former PM Indira Gandhi imposed the 'Emergency'.
