Union Minister Amit Shah at the 28th National Human Right Commission (NHRC) Foundation Day on October 12 said, “The country’s 60 crore poor population has the right to equality and independence can be considered only if the said population has all the basic necessities. Our Constitution has given them the right to have basic necessities, but earlier the government had not cared upon the issue. However, in last seven years, about 60 crore poor population got the right to equality. The Modi government has assured them all their basic amenities and rights in seven years.
