Two people lost their lives after a stampede broke out in Bihar’s Aurangabad on November 02. The mishappening occurred during Chhath Puja at a ghat in Aurangabad. The incident took place near Suraj Kund in Aurangabad. Several people got injured in the stampede. Compensation will be provided by the district administration to the deceased’s family. Chhath Puja is celebrated on the sixth day of Kartik month of Hindu calendar. Every year, the festival commences with paying obeisance to the setting sun and concludes with the rising sun.
