The draft Bill says, "any pronouncement of talaq by a person upon his wife, by words, either spoken or written or in electronic form or in any other manner whatsoever, shall be void and illegal".

All of us are supporting this bill, but there are certain lacunae which should and can be rectified in the standing committee,we can sit together and sort out in a time bound manner," said Mallikarjun Kharge of the Congress in Lok Sabha.To this, Prasad thanked the Congress for their support. "I thank Kharge ji for supporting the Govt on #TripleTalaqBill , whatever suggestions they have they should tell us here, if fine we can incorporate them in the law," he said.
