Zee Theatre announces its first theatrical tour where renowned artists including Makrand Deshpande, Sonali Kulkarni and Milind Phatak will come together to stage 12 plays in 15 cities."It is to bring together audience and performers and create a viable ecosystem for theater, one that can sustain in the long run. Most people haven't experienced good play. The idea is to re-invigorating theater, an art-form that has been a part of Indian culture for centuries, and take it back to the entire country," says Anuj Talukder, President, Zee Live.Bringing forth several genres ranging from drama, suspense, social issues, musicals, classics and satires, the tour will travel to key cities in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal and Rajasthan, staging 50 shows over the next four months."Venue matters a lot. Usually we perform at certain venues, this tour would give us a platform to reach a wider audience. It will also help in inculcating their interest towards theatre.
