YSR Congress leader Jyothula Nehru distributed Rs 1 lakh to family members of the deceased and Rs 25,000 to those injured in the June 27 gas pipeline blast at Nagaram village of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh, which claimed 21 lives.

He visited Nagaram village along with YSR Congress activists and to hand over cheques of Rs 1 lakh each to family members of those killed and Rs 50,000 to each of 18 family members of those injured in the incident.

On June 28, YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy had visited the village and demanded that the government pay a compensation of Rs 1 crore to deceased family members.
