The four-time MLA of Allagadda in Kurnool district and YSR Congress deputy floor leader in the state assembly breathed her last at 11:05 on Thursday morning at Care Hospital in Hyderabad while undergoing multiple surgeries for seven rib fractures she suffered after falling from the running vehicle. The 45-year-old was seriously hurt when her car turned turtle skidding through a heap of wet paddy laid out on the main road by farmers for drying, party sources said.

Shoba is daughter of former minister S V Subba Reddy and also wife of former MP Bhooma Nagi Reddy. She debuted into politics as a TDP MP, was a minister in Chandrababu Naidu cabinet, and later joined the Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam. Last year she joined the YSR Congress and also got elected in the by-polls.
