Content creator Heer Khan was nabbed by Prayagraj police officials for making objectionable remarks against Hindu gods and goddesses.
Prayagraj police officials on Tuesday nabbed a woman YouTuber for making objectionable remarks against Hindu gods and goddesses in her latest videos.
The content creator, Heer Khan, based out of Khulbad in Prayagraj, sparked outrage on social media for making derogatory remarks against Hindu gods and goddesses, after one of her controversial videos went viral. In her video rant, the Youtuber can be heard making objectionable and abusive comments against Hindu deities.
Soon after Heer's videos started gaining attention online, Twitter users trended #ArrestHeerKhan for insulting Hindu gods.
"Peoples like “Heer Khan" are abusing our gods and misusing democratic rights because we were tolerating them but now, we can't tolerate such Hinduphobic peoples anymore. I request @Uppolice to #ArrestHeerKhan immediately," wrote Twitter user @bisaria_mayank.

One Twitter user even questioned how the Youtuber was using the social media platform to spread hate?

Hours later, police officials nabbed the content creator. The 28-year-old accused has been booked under Sections 153A/505 IPC and 66 of IT Act.
Heer has been making rant videos on communal lines on her YouTube channel named `Black Day 5 August`, but most of her videos did not even get 1,000 views.
However, on Tuesday, when she uploaded a rant video in which she abused Hindu gods, it raked over 10,000 views in just a few hours. As people condemned the video, the hashtag #ArrestHeerKhan started trending on Twitter.
