Yamuna Expressway land scam: Greater Noida villagers attack CBI team
CBI team had reached the village to investigate against former YEIDA CEO PC Gupta
CBI team investigating Rs 126 Yamuna Expressway land fraud was beaten up by villagers in Greater Noida when they went to do enquiries on Saturday.
A six-member team of CBI reached Sunpura village in Greater Noida on Saturday to investigate the controversial scam involving former YEIDA CEO PC Gupta. According to Zee Media Bureau report, the local police was unaware of the investigation team. Angry villagers made these officers run helter-skelter. Two of these officers sustained minor injuries and bruises as they tried to get away from the angry mob.
These officers registered a complaint against villagers at Ecotech - 3 police station. Police station in-charge said that when the officers reached the house of the accused, his family members misbehaved with the team. The local police have detained a few people from the village after the complaint was filed.
