The Uttar Pradesh government today said the scheme to connect all the religious places in the state by four-lane roads will be expedited and completed in time, keeping the quality of work intact.

The construction works which have attained 75 per cent completion, will be made ready for public use by this December, Uttar Pradesh chief secretary Rajive Kumar said in a statement.

"As per the directions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the proposed scheme to connect all the religious places in the state by four-lane roads will be expedited and completed in time while keeping the quality of work intact," he said.

The chief secretary directed that work to link Vrindavan, Ayodhya, Naimisharnya and Chitrakoot with four-lane roads should start on a priority basis.

For the 2019 Ardh Kumbh mela, instructions were issued to finish construction of four over bridges and other necessary building activities by September next year.
