He also suggested for exploring the possibility of establishing library-cum-computer room for the children of CBI employees for helping them in the preparation of various competitive examinations, a statement from the agency said.

The new building has been constructed on an area measuring 3.52 acres at a cost of about Rs 14.40 crore.

The office-cum-residential complex of CBI at Raipur consists of two-storeyed office building, an auditorium, a guest house and staff quarters.

"The anti-corruption branch of CBI, Chhattisgarh was earlier part of the Jabalpur Branch created in the year 1945.

The Chhattisgarh branch came into existence on January 1, 2009 and was being operated from Bhilai," the statement said.
