A video of a woman being paraded naked in Bihar's Bhojpur district went viral on social media on Monday evening, raising serious questions over the "good governance" claims of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led government in the state.

The incident took place in Bihiya, Ara, where a woman from a red-light area was made to walk naked for several metres by a huge crowd of men, following the death of a boy in the locality. "The boy's body was found on the railway tracks on Monday. While the local police and RPF were indulging in blame game, some family members incited the locals that the boy was killed by those living in the red-light area, following which they burnt some of the houses and made this woman walk naked," a police source said.

The video shows a group of around 50-60 men parading the woman, and also hitting her, while others can be seen filming her on their cellphones. A few policemen can also be seen running behind them, but it is not clear if and when they were able to rescue her.
