The incident was reported from the hospital located in sector-51 on Sunday. Some employees of the hospital informed the police about a woman working as a duty attendant allegedly gangraped by two hospital employees.
A woman working as a duty attendant in a prominent city based private hospital here was allegedly gangraped by two colleagues in the hospital premises, a police officer said today.
The police said the incident was reported from the hospital located in sector-51 on July 30, where some employees of the hospital informed the police about a female staff allegedly gangraped by two hospital employees.
"A complaint was received to Gurgaon police control room by some hospital staff members about the gangrape, the police reached the spot and recorded the statement of victim. We have registered a case under section 376d (gangrape) and other relevant IPC sections in Woman police station in Gurgaon, following the statement of victim," ACP and PRO of Gurgaon Police Hawa Singh said.
The two accused Mani Ram and Pradeep on July 30 around 1 pm, took the victim to a corner where they gangraped her and later threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed their crime. But the survivor raised an alarm and shared her ordeal with other hospital staff who informed the police Medical examination of the survivor confirmed gangrape, he said.
Mani Ram, a native of West Bengal and his associate, Pradeep, a native of Mahendragarh in Haryana, both of them, were working as a supervisors in housekeeping department in the hospital and associated with the hospital through an outsourcing company.
The survivor also recorded statement before city magistrate under CrPC section of 164.
Both the accused have been arrested and were produced in Gurgaon Civil court which send them to 14-days judicial custody of 14 days.
