A 28-year-old woman died after she caught fire and her husband was severely burnt while trying to rescue her in Kanpur today, police said.

The couple was taken to hospital by neighbours who heard their screams. While the wife succumbed to her injuries, the husband is in critical condition, the police said.
Bablu and Kalpana had married three years ago.
