"Last night at 12.33, I received a threatening call asking me to withdraw all cases against Khadse +922135871719. Truecaller shows Dawood 2 Pakistan," she said in a series of tweets.

"Informed CM on threat call from a landline number of Pakistan, asking me to withdraw all cases against Eknath Khadse, she added".

A complaint has been registered and Joint CP Crime is investigating the matter.

Damania also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh to give her time to urgently see them. "Threat call? to a citizen? I want my govt to act," she tweeted.

A fortnight ago, Vakola police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Eknath Khadse for allegedly making a 'lewd' statement on Damania at a public gathering on his birthday on September 2.

In her police complaint, Damania claimed that on September 2, at a public gathering in Jalgaon, Khadse had passed an outrageous comment.
