On a day when a letter seized from an alleged Maoist sympathizers blew the lid off the plans to carry out another “Rajiv Gandhi type incident”, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the government will review the security of the Prime Minister and Maoists are now fighting a losing battle.

“We always remain very serious about our PM’s security. As far as Maoists are concerned, I would say they are fighting a losing battle. Maoist extremism has dropped considerably. Earlier, 135 districts of this country were hit by Maoist extremism. It is now only in 90 districts. And 10 districts are worst affected. It is an achievement,” Singh said.
