Senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday said he did not know whether the fledging Third Front had any programme.

"What are the objectives in floating this idea (of Third Front)? Government must have a vision, a programme. I do not know whether they have a programme," Mukherjee, also the external affairs minister, said at the airport here when asked about the prospects of the Third Front comprising Left and regional parties.

"Those parties, which first select their prime ministerial candidates and then go for campaign are indulging in theatrics," he said.

Mukherjee, who arrived from Delhi, said whether the Third Front would come to power at the Centre would depend on the 70
crore voters of the country.
