The opposition is looking to corner TMC by raising the issue.
The opposition Left Front and Congress will launch a joint protest march outside the CBI office here demanding speeding up of inquiry in Saradha scam.
CPI-M leader Sujan Chakraborty, the party's central committee member Shyamal Chakraborty and senior Congress leader Abdul Mannan on Wednesday told a press conference that the protest-march would be organised in front of the CBI office in Salt Lake in the second week of this month. "We had taken out a rally outside CBI office in January.
We will take out a second rally in March demanding speeding up of investigation in Saradha scam," Sujan Chakraborty said. He alleged that there has been a covert political understanding between TMC and BJP, which resulted in slowing down of the CBI probe in the scam.
Mannan also alleged that there had been a patch-up between the two parties. "TMC time and again had opposed CBI probe in Saradha scam. They took all measures to stop it. The people and the duped investors of Saradha and other ponzi firms will give them a befitting reply," Mannan said.
