INDIA
Mazdak Dilshad Baloch is a Balochi activist.
How has India added to the Balochi freedom struggle in the recent times?
India has brought the Balochi freedom struggle to the limelight. The Balochi freedom struggle is the largest problem in South Asia. It does not affect the Balochi people alone, it affects the whole region. India needs to worry about the China Pakistan Economic Corridor too.
How has Modi changed the narrative?
Modi is the first leader of the state to publicly speak about the Balochi struggle. No other leader in the region has spoken about us in front of the world. It is hugely significant, given that India is the largest democracy in the world. And, because no leader from the region has spoken for the cause.
Do you intend to form a government-in-exile?
All the parties involved are deliberating on the course of action, and the political actors concerned will soon take a decision about the government in exile. We will soon have a government.
Will the government be headquartered in India? Or, elsewhere?
It has not been decided yet. It could be in India, or in Bangladesh.
Where are you headed next?
I will go to Gujarat from here, where I will meet several Baloch leaders and Indian leaders to deliberate on the Balochi issue.
