Watch: Youths from North-East brutally beaten up in Bengaluru
In a video that has surfaced on social media, two youths from North-East India are seen being beaten up by sticks by three people late in the night.
Atrocities against people from the North-East of India have been in the news for a few years now. Recently, a video uploaded on streaming platform YouTube shows two youths being assaulted by a sticks outside a house in Bengaluru. The video uploaded on January 11, 2017 claims to be shot by a neighbour and states that the incident took place on Sampanna Road, Banaswadi in Bengaluru on December 26 2016.
According to a Bangalore Mirror report, the youth in the video, Jerry, had parked his two wheeler outside his house which was opposite the gate of retired ITC security officer, Clifford Wilson (80). An altercation began after Jerry found his two-wheeler fallen on the roadside.
The video shows Wilson and his son, who is a retired principal and another family member threatening and brutally beating up Jerry with sticks. The video has been recorded by an unidentified person. Banaswadi police are investigating the case.
NewsX also reported that the argument was over a loud party that the youth were a part of.
